Torre di Pisa Mountain Hut
The Torre di Pisa Mountain Hut (2,671 m) is the only mountain hut situated in the heart of the Latemar mountain range (Dolomites), on the summit of Cavignon, in the Val di Fiemme – Predazzo area. It is famous for its spectacular 360° views and for its proximity to a sloping rocky pinnacle resembling the famous Tuscan tower. Accessible from Predazzo, Pampeago and Obereggen, it offers a hike of medium difficulty.
The refuge is open from mid-June to mid-October.
How to get there
- From Pampeago, take the chairlift to Passo Pampeago, then follow trail 516 to Passo Feudo; duration approx. 2 hours
- From Predazzo, take the Latemar 2200 lifts to Passo Feudo, then continue along trail N516; duration approx. 1.5 hours.
- From Obereggen (BZ), take the Oberholz chairlift, then follow trail N22 and then N516. Approx. 2 hours (For those who do not wish to use the ski lifts, the nearest starting point remains Pampeago (Tesero) or Malga Lahner (Obereggen).
